This update brings a series of significant improvements regarding the performance of websites hosted on Hostico's shared infrastructure. The NVMe storage units ensure considerably higher read and write speeds compared to traditional SSD solutions, thus reducing page loading times and increasing processing capacity during peak traffic moments.

NVMe technology is not new to us; within the Hostico VPS services, it has been successfully implemented for over 2 years, being one of the first solutions of this kind offered on a large scale in Romania. Its expansion now to shared hosting comes as a natural continuation of the modernization of our infrastructure and our desire to provide the same high standards of performance for all user categories.

With the completion of NVMe storage comes the LiteSpeed web server, recognized for its superior efficiency in managing multiple connections and excellent compatibility with CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, Magento). By using LiteSpeed, websites benefit from reduced resource consumption, efficient caching, shorter response times, and, in addition to the DDoS protection included in Hostico's services, an additional level of security provided directly by the server technology.

All shared hosting packages in the offer can be configured with the new LiteSpeed + NVMe option. All you have to do is add the desired service to the cart and select the corresponding option during setup.

The setup cost is 1 EURO + VAT / month for the Start hosting packages, and 2 EURO + VAT / month for all Business and Reseller hosting packages.

If you are already benefiting from a hosting package and wish to migrate to the new LiteSpeed + NVMe services, you can place an upgrade order directly from the product page, paying only the calculated price difference until the due date.

To benefit from all the functionalities offered by the new LiteSpeed web server, we recommend installing the dedicated module for the CMS used by the website.

If you do not have the necessary technical knowledge to carry out this configuration, the Hostico technical team can provide support for installation, within the purchased support hours. The service fee varies depending on the complexity of the procedure and the CMS platform used, which is why we recommend contacting an operator for an accurate estimate.
