Force password change

Introduction

This tutorial explains how to force the password reset of one or more cPanel accounts

This measure is applied so that the user can set a password known only to them or if there is suspicion that the password for that account has been compromised.

Requirements

• a WHM account

Steps to Follow

• after logging in to the WHM control panel, in the interface that will be displayed, we search in the upper left window for "force password change"

• after clicking on the obtained result, a table will appear in the new displayed window from where the desired account or even all accounts can be selected

• after selecting the desired domain/domains, the "Submit" button is pressed, and a "Success!" message will appear in the bottom right corner

• after successfully completing the operation, when the cPanel account holder logs into the panel, they will be automatically redirected to the password reset page, not allowing any other operation until they set a new password.
