Change cPanel password from WHM

Introduction

This tutorial explains how to change the password of one or more cPanel accounts from the reseller's WHM administration panel

Requirements

  • a WHM account

Steps to Follow

  • Once logged in to the WHM administration panel, search for "Change Password" in the search box at the top left and select the obtained result

  • In the window that will be displayed, you can select from the list the account for which you want to change the password, or if there are many accounts created, you can search using the search box in the displayed window

  • after selecting the desired account, the new password will be entered in the fields below, in the first box for setting and in the second for confirming it. Attention!!! cPanel will not allow setting a weak password in terms of security. It is recommended to use multiple types of characters, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

  • after setting the password in the two fields, the "Change Password" button located at the bottom of the page is pressed

  • once the modification is successfully made, a confirmation message will be displayed in the top right corner of the page
